RAFFLE RULES OF PLAY

• Raffle tickets are available for purchase online and shall not be sold to a person under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. Should the name of a minor be placed on the winning ticket, the prize(s) will not be awarded until the conditions of the Public Trustee Act are met.
• Draw will take place on the location, date and time as per the raffle details. All ticket stubs will be placed into a rotating drum and one ticket will be drawn for each prize and the winner’s information recorded.  RNG (Random Number Generator) will only be used to select the winning ticket(s) if the local raffle regulatory board has approved the RNG system prior to the start date of the raffle.
• To be eligible for the raffle draw, payment must be received on or before the sale end date and time as per the raffle details.
• Prize(s) must be accepted as awarded.
• Winner(s) will be notified by phone within 7 days of being drawn. If a winner cannot be located by phone, they will be notified by registered mail within 30 days of the winning ticket being drawn.
• If the winner cannot be located within 365 days of the winning ticket being drawn, an application will be made to local raffle regulatory board to have the prize awarded to the organization conducting the raffle.
• All tickets are final.
• Winner(s) name(s) will be made available to the public no later than 48 hours after the final draw by website or upon request.
• In the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the prize shall be awarded to only one of the individuals identified on the ticket. The organization conducting the raffle or the local raffle regulatory board are not responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose names appear on the ticket stub.
• Any questions or concerns shall be directed to the organization conducting the raffle.
•  Prize(s) will be awarded directly by the organization.

RAFFLE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions apply to all participants in the Homelessness Society of the Bow Valley ("HSBV") 50/50 Raffle (the "Raffle").

By purchasing a raffle ticket, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the information published on the official raffle webpage, the information on the raffle webpage shall prevail.

1. Raffle Administration

• The Raffle is conducted and managed by the Homelessness Society of the Bow Valley in accordance with the terms of the applicable raffle license and Alberta regulations.

• An approved Electronic Raffle System (ERS) is used to process ticket sales and conduct the draw.

2. Eligibility

• Participants must be 18 years of age or older and physically located in Alberta at the time of ticket purchase.

• Tickets must be purchased using an accepted payment method with an Alberta billing address.

• By purchasing a ticket, participants confirm that they meet all eligibility requirements. HSBV reserves the right to request proof of eligibility and may withhold a prize pending verification.

3. Ticket Purchases

• Ticket packages, pricing, sales dates, and draw details are as described on the official raffle webpage.

• Each raffle ticket constitutes one entry into the draw.

• Tickets are issued electronically and delivered by email. No physical tickets will be issued.

• Participants are responsible for ensuring their contact information is accurate and up to date.

• HSBV is not responsible for incomplete purchases, failed transactions, technical issues, email delivery failures, or entries not received before the raffle closing date.

4. Draw and Prize

• The winning ticket will be selected using an approved random draw process as described on the raffle webpage.

• The winner will receive a cash prize equal to 50% of eligible ticket sales, up to any maximum amount stated on the raffle webpage and approved under the raffle license.

• Odds of winning depend on the number of tickets sold.

• The prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable.

5. Winner Notification and Claiming the Prize

• The winner will be contacted using the information provided at the time of purchase.

• HSBV will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If a prize remains unclaimed, HSBV will proceed in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and directions from the licensing authority.

• Winner information may be published as required by law or regulation.

6. Refunds

• All ticket sales are final.

• No refunds will be issued once a ticket has been generated, except where required by law or where HSBV determines, at its sole discretion, that exceptional circumstances warrant a refund.

7. Fraudulent or Invalid Entries

• HSBV reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or that is suspected of fraud, tampering, misuse of the raffle system, or any activity intended to circumvent the rules of the Raffle.

• Any prize awarded based on an invalid entry may be revoked.

8. Limitation of Liability

• HSBV shall not be liable for any loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience arising from participation in the Raffle, including technical malfunctions, network interruptions, payment processing issues, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

• HSBV reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Raffle if necessary due to technical, legal, regulatory, or other circumstances beyond its control.
